how to fix a clutch?

how do you fix a siezed clutch in a 1972 MG Midget

what you have here is the clutch plate siezed to the flywheel. depending on front or rear wheel drive, jack up both drive wheels and start the engine, then whilst ensuring the vehicle is in neutral, rev the engine at a fast pace (no i am not taking the p**s) the driven wheels will now be spinning, to free the clutch, apply brakes as hard as you can. this will free the plate.

I assume that you mean when you try to diengage the clutch it doesn't. This may be siezed clutch plates or the hydraulics not working. I#'d check the latter first.

If it is the clutch, take out the gearbox and you will find the clutch bolted to the flywheel. Midget gearboxes aren't very heavy.

I suggets you get a Haynes manual.
