How do I remove 98 Ka brake discs?

I have had a problem with my front brakes seizing and have replaced the brake caliper and pads and seems to have fixed the problem. I bought some brake discs too, as the garage said they need replacing but can't get the old discs off, haynes manual says remove retaining clip from wheel mounting if present. I can not find any such clip or screws to remove and the new discs show no idication as to how they will stay in place. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Nigel, I was thinking this was the case but didn't want to 'tap' the disc too hard incase i damaged it and couldn't replace it, thanks for the reassurance I will give it a go.

Thanks again

Hi Marty, the road wheel actually holds the disc onto the drive hub, the clip refered to in the manual will be (if fitted) on one of the wheel studs, remove the caliper with the caliper carrier, then if the disc will not come off give it a "tap" with a non metalic item (plastic mallet or block of wood and a hammer) the discs often corrode onto the drive hub, clean the mating surface of the hub and apply some copper grease to stop it corroding, then refit new disc and caliper assembly
