my boiler was bequeathed to me by the previous owners, but they didn't leave me a manual! can anyone tell me the answer to this question? how do i top up the water level in what i assume is a closed system - the pressure seems to be constantly low and the water never very hot.

at the bottom of your boiler 1 of the pipes a 15mm one is the mains water it will have a t along the pipe withe a valve on it to connect a flexible filling loop hose this hose connects to one of the 22mm pipes on your heating circuit once the filling loop is connected open valve on 15mm pipe and watch your pressure gauge when it reaches just under 1.5 turn off valve on 15mm pipe your boiler will now be repressurized
