my central locking wont work by the key at all?

hi i have a vauxhall zafira and the central locking wont work by pressin the key at all and only sometimes the red light works on the key

i av a renault clio 1.6 v reg n the central lockin wont work from key fob or manually with the lock.i av to lock manually 1by1.i av replaced battery. please cud u advise me wot to do thanks

Put your key in the ignition , turn until dash lights up then push the keyfob button and hold for ten seconds and it should re-recognize the key , i think its the " lock" button but try both ... Also try a new keyfob battery . hope this helps .
