how can I get the back of my row2anda steam iron without breaking?

the wire on our steam iron is loose I need to get the back off. I have removed the two screws but the back won't come off. What can I do?

Gently pull the top back, then at the curve by the base, slide a flathead screwdriver into the gap. Slide straight back.
