Hello all
I have recently done a service ,oil change,filters etc
can anyone tell me if the engine and gearbox share the engine oil or is the gearbox a separate unit????
I thought they were common ,only a friend of mine just needed a gearbox for a berlingo as there was no oil in it ant the mechanic said citroens have separate engine/gearbox oil

For petrol engines
15W/40 Semi-Synthetic Moderate climate
5W/40 Semi-Synthetic Cold climate
3.5 Litres inc new filter

For Diesel engine
10W/40 Semi-Synthetic (diesel eng oil) Moderate climate
5W30 Cold climate
4.5 Litres inc new filter

Gearbox all engines
75W/80 Semi-Synthetic
Total capacity 1.8 Litres Fill to the level plug in the end of gearbox

engine and box are seperate.gearbox oil is very different than engine oil, if you are going to change it find exact type and amount needed.
