my candy condenser tumble dryer is blowing out cold air, what is the problem and how do I fix it?

I have noticed many people having the same problem after a few years with the Candy CDC 266.

I am not an electrician but it must be the heating element.

So, the question:

1) Buy the element for £30 + pay for an electrician to come and fix it maybe >= £100 totalling £130

2) Buy a new one for £180 !

Option 2 seems the easiest to me and probably what I will have to do now... Wonder if you can sell the old one on Ebay or not worth it ?
