my acer laptop has been exposed to water and now the screen is black. if i plug in an auxillary screen then the laptop is working fine, including access to windows etc. I can just see my start up menu when i turn it on but it is impoosible to use. can you suggest what may be wrong?

You may still have water still in there and if left it will just cause more problems. Were the water leeked in it will have to be taken apart to be cleaned dry and that meens unplugging all connectors. Its a tricky job so dont attempt unless you know what your doing.
