what does code E20 mean when it is displayed on the front of the machine and the machine stops working? The washing machine is an AEG oko lavamat 72630

I think it means that the outflow pipe is blocked - this is easily sorted. Just pull off the cover at the bottom of the machine. Get lots of old towels and put them around the opening. Unscrew the white circular cover and pull it out. Get rid of all the hard soap powder and limescale and replace the plug.

Hi,
you need to clear the drain pump. There is a drain tube behind a panel at the bottom of the machine, drain it into a suitable container, then unscrew the drain pump cover next to it and clear the debris. Beware lots of water can come out!! This is in the handbook under emergency water draining.
