Vauxhall 2.0DTI 2003?

My 2.0dti suddenly won't rev above 1200rpm and is smoking badly. The problem started without warning after starting up. Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip but I went to the car this morning and it started and runs fine now. No problems. So its a total mystery as to what caused the problem yesterday and will it return? Anyone got any ideas?

Check vacume pipes to EGR, mine had same fault ,they had chaffed on batt carrier
