First of all the bad news - you can't fix hard drives. They are built in clean rooms and the second you open one in normal atmosphere its irrepairably(?) broken.
However to lose two hard drives seems odd. Check all the drive cabling. Check that the PC's powers supply is supplying powers to the two drives. Second try the drives in another PC in order to check your PC's onboard drive electronics.
