On Thursday nite, I put in a new VHS tape and it was ejected immediately. I tried again, and again, and it continued to eject my VHS tape. So I put in my old tape that I recorded on today from the TV news, and it ejected it also.

This has never happened, and just started with new and old tapes.

HELP!!, I NEED 2 FIX IT because I can't buy another. I already have one that broke on me before and the DVD does not play. THAT'S ENOUGH 4 ME. DON'T WANT TO BOX 2 OF THEM.

While I can't tell you what is wrong, the same thing just happened to me. Mine is model SLV-D380P. I haven't used it much and just hooked it back up again after several months. I put the tape in and the door wouldn't close the whole way. I finally unplugged it hoping that would reset it. Now the door goes the whole way closed, but then ejects the tape. I tried a new and an old tape.
