WHAT COULD BE WRONG...WATER NOT FILLING TO CORRECT LEVEL?

I HAVE A 70 SERIES KENMORE MODEL 110 SERIAL #CF4701060
AND THE WATER WILL NOT FILL PROPERLY ANYMORE. IT ONLY
FILLS HALF WAY. i HAVE PROPER HEIGHT ON THE DISCHARGE HOSE.

Sounds like a faulty pressure switch in the back, usually a round unit with electrical connections from it and a rubber tube connecting to the drum, this senses the level of water in the drum and switches the inlet valves off and the heater on etc...
