IBM THINKPAD 600X?

EVERYTIME I START MY IBM THINKPAD 600X LAPTOP, IT BEEPS TWICE ERROR MESSAGE COMES UP. I CLK OK. SCREEN WITH DATE & TIME OF ERROR COMES UP. I CLK OK, NOTHING HAPPENS. I HAVE 2 TURN TOP OFF, TURN ON, IT USUALLY BOOTS UP BUT SOMETIMES I HAVE 2 GO THROUGH THE PROCESS AGAIN. I HAVE WIN XP HOME EDITION INSTALLED. PLZ NEED SOME HELP.

There is a small battery that keeps the PC aware of its setup when you switch it off. Your ThinkPad needs a new one. Assuming that you don't have a manual, you can download one from: www.lenovo.com. (Lenovo own all of IBM's PC assets now.)
