How do I replace the primer bulb on my Troy Built String Trimmer?

I have found the replacement parts, but am not sure how to remove the old bulb. This is a 5 year old, straight shaft trimmer

They are normally just a bayonet fit into the housing, compress the two inside legs and it should pop out
