hotpoint vtd00 tumble dryer NOT SPINNING?

just replaced drive belt on the listed model, now the drum stops rotating after a while (int/mit) and a buzzing noise appears .i checKed the wiring and everything seems to be ok. poss drum only spinning one way . has anyone any thoughts ?
