ok derek, undo the 8mm headed hex bolts from around the edge of you transmission cover where the kickstart is,leave the kickstart in situ you dont need to touch it.pull the cover off and you will see the variator on the left and the rear pulley and clutch bell on the right.undo the nut on the end of the crankshaft on the left using an impact gun(easiest way)then take the nut off the washer off the kickstart mating ring off and the outer half of the variator.then lift the belt off the crank and pull it out of the pulley at the back where the clutch is.to put the new one on you will need to pull the two halves of the pulley apart a bit to get the new belt in there make sure belt is the right way around as they are diectional sometimes , once you have it in the pulley you should be able to pull it into the middle of it a bit to help it go onto the crank it will be a bit tough to do.once its in there put the other edn over the crank and reassemble the variator i always put loctite on the thread of the nut and crank as if the nut comes off when riding it can make a mess of the transmission components.do it up tight and put the cover back on.all done and ready to go again.
