Can a DMTech TV with inbuilt DVD player be linked up to a freesat box?

Hi
I've inherited a DMTech tv with no instruction manual (can't even tell you which model it is). This tv is in a bedroom and was originally linked to a sky box in the living room.
I've recently purchased a Humax freesat box and have a brilliant picture on the tv in the living room. A second cable from the satellite dish has been run into the DMTech tv in the bedroom. I've inserted the cable into the back of the tv and it links into the freesat box (which is in the living room). I've then run a scart cable from the freesat box into the back of the tv in the living room.
I can't get any picture on the DMTech tv. The only function I can get to work is the DVD player. Not sure what I'm doing wrong - anyone have any ideas how I can get freesat to work?
