Westwood T1600 lack of drive?

My westwood T1600 suffers from serious lack of drive and I cant get up a slight hill in my garden once it's hot. Any ideas where to start - is it likely to be the gearbox or is there something less drastic. I've already relaced the drive belt without much improvement.

Hi sorry I do not have the answer to that but could you please help me by telling me the best way to get the drive belt off the axle pulley...axle off?

Many thanks

If its hydrostatic, you have wear issues in the unit, this will get worse when it is hot due to the oil becomeing thinner, and leaking between the cylinder block and the centre section in the gearbox, this is either a replacment box or a rebuild, replacment box is going to be expensive, so rebuild may be the cheaper option.Make sure the brakes are not binding, and the unit is clear of grass and debris, also make sure the cooling fan is working ok
