It was put in to a garage to have the near side coil spring and shocker with top mount replaced. It was returned and the remote central locking wasn't working, Had a vag garage look at it and they said all fuses ok but could not see the central conveniance unit when they did a scan. they think they my have unpluged some cables behind the battaery by the ecu. Could this be true? Does the remote locking take a suply from around this area.

you have 3 fuses to central locking and 2 modules 1 under drivers seat and 1 behind fuse box bottom right of dash to access al fuses you have to pull out fuse box panels 3 of themthen gain access to module in dash main supply to them is next to batterry attached to front panel if just 1 fuse blown will stop full system working if you are not competent enough to check yourself take to an auto elec he will trace it fast and cheaper than a garage that does not have a wiring diagramme for your vehicle hope this helps
