i have 2 slam the door on my tumble dryer a good few times b4 it actually works? can u tell what part of it i need 2 replace?

there is a plastic pin on the door you open that goes through a hole in the front of the cabinet.behind there is a micro switch.if it doesn't make contact with the micro switch the tumble dryer will not start
