hi. flashing "s" light opel vita?

i ve an opel vita GLS 1999 model. there was some smoke from the bonnett and the "s" light on the dashboard started flashing. car not pulling faster as before. help. thnx

i checked through the fuses. the fuse for the cig lighter had blown off. car ok now. no more flashing s light. thanx
