Just wondering if I'm the only one with a Foxsat which fails to record stuff it's been told to? In particular I've missed a couple of Lewis episodes on ITVHD despite asking the thing to record the entire series using the EPG. Two strange things occur, the machine goes into 'quick start standby' (the time of day comes on) 15 minutes before the programme is due to start, but the thing simply doesn't record, no REC indicator. By the time I've noticed this it's invariably too late as I've missed at least the intro. However I see the programme IS being broadcast and the 'clock' icon IS in the appropriate box in the EPG. Even more strange, the machine stays in the 'quick start standby' mode (time displayed) until the scheduled programme end when it reverts to 'full' standby. The machine has failed to record at other times, but there seems to be no pattern as in this Lewis series.

I have exactly the same problem... on various channels - last one was at 08:30 this evening on ITV1 - OK Don't laugh - Corrie!

Further to the question regarding missed recordings I emailed Humax. I received a reply which explains that the problem is quite likely due to the broadcaster simply failing to broadcast the 'start' signal. In future, if the problem persists, I'll set up the recording from the menu. I'll lose the 'series link' feature, but at least I'll get the programme, if it's on time.
