how do you fix the sensors in a merc. sat nav?

I have a 2005 mercedes 320. the sat nav works ok but doesn't put me in the right place. Right now it says I'm 100 miles from where I really am. Could it be the sensors? It used to work on and off, but now it doesn't seem to ever get me in the right place.

Yes, tried that 537 combination. It just came up the same as Happy Bunny. Will try to get to the connector tommorrow. Thanks for your help.

Hi John, Affraid I've never had to deal with a Merc, but I would imagine that the boot lining will have to be removed and the connector should normally be either a screw on or a bayonet fitting, did you try the reset procedure mentioned in that forum?

Thanks for that Nigel. Not sure how to to take the connector off. Do I have to take off all the panels in the boot to get at the connector? It's a cdi 320 2005.

Hi, if you go to www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/82771-help-please-sat-nav-has-lost-position.html

Scroll down to posting #10 from "Happy Bunny" they give the answer, but there are a lot of other postings regarding problems with corrosion on the aerial connections in the boot area, £100 for the parts and £250 in labour charges!!!!!! so I would take the connector off and clean it up and a good spray of wd40 a lot less expensive and nothing lost if it does'nt work!
