every time i turn the drier on , it immediately trips the electric.have checked the wiring and seems ok

It's the heater, first of all unplug then remove the heater cover screwed to the back panel. If there is any water in the base then soak it up. Get a hair dryer & dry the elements. Refit everything & try it, if it ends up tripping your elecs. after a day or two your pump has probably gone which will need replacing.
