whirlpool washer won't spin?

Hi! Just today I put in a load of clothes as usual. It will fill, agitate, refill and drain but will not spin. Any clues as to the problem? Thanks in advance. It's mid nineties that's all I know. Heavy Duty.

What is the washer doing while its in the spin mode? Any noises or is it dead? If its dead, a bad lid switch could cause this.
