how can i fix my ferguson t20 hydraulics?

my lifting arms on my fergie t 20 go up to there highest point as soon as i engage the pto no matter what position the quadrant is in an wont come down the tractor sat with no oil in the back end for a while during restoration the lift had been working perfectly be for this

i have a ford 9n but the lift does not work i have changed the backend oil and got the control valve free but stil wont work.

i took off the inspection plate an found the quadrant leavers had detached from valve at the bottom of the pump i reattached the t bar which is connected to the valve not an easy job. the lift is working great now only thing is now at full hight the lift is jumping until i knock off the pto i think it did this before i restored the tractor so im not to worried thanks for your help tony

Remove the inspection plate from the right hand side (sitting on tractor) of the transmission housing and have a look to see if the control fork is free of movement, because you have had the fergu sitting with no oil in it you may find that it not moving, and therefore in the full open position, and make sure that all the joints can move freely, it should work o.k after that....!
