why is my zanissi condencer tumble dryer not filling with water?

i found a spring and plastic tube loose is this why and can i fix it

if its the normal bit that breaks it is the one way valve that the bottle latches on to.If you have the parts you need to take the back off to gain access and will need a new rubber 'O' ring which holds it all together
