installing hard drives?

I have 2 hard drives, 1 ide and other sata hard drive.
I want to run IDE as master and SATA as slave, when system bootsup in MY COMPUTER there is no SATA drive. please help

First have you checked whether the hard disks are set for master and slave?

If both are master then usually the PC will think that the first HD on the cable is master.
