Indicators on peugeot 307?

I can't get my indicator on the left hand side to work on my peugeot 307. the bulb has been replaced. when you turn the indicator on it flashes faster than normal inside but the indicator light on the exterior is not working!??

possibble corroded base plat this will be where the bulb acctualy sits check for rust in this area
