Probelems with Hoover Nextra , 3 way valve 41013616?

I have had the problem of the drum filling with water on my machine when switched off and not in use and have replaced the defective 41013616 3-way valve. Now although the machine, a Hoover Nextra 6, seems to work ok on the wash cycle, on the drying function the clothes come out still hand wet but not dripping wet (the heater is working ok). I wonder if I have either got the wires connected wrongly, although I did disconnect them from the original valve a pair at a time and thought I had put like with like, or have I got the hoses wrongly connected with one that is meant for the condensor going to the drawer and vice versa, thus water being admitted to the drum instead and wetting the clothes which should be dried? Has anyone a drawing or a colour code of what goes to what as regards the wires or the hoses please? BTW I work in electronics and have a DVM at home for voltage and continuity tests if required
