S+J strimmer?

my pull release mech has failed on my s+j model nos spjgt 26 ..dismantled shroud and the securing phillips screw ratchets away does not release the cord spoolwith cord aarrrgghhh

does anyone know if you buy a new full cover or a magically way to take the spool
