iveco ambulance 40c13 wont start?

my iveco ambulance 02 reg type 40c13 wont start, it started this morning, i noticed a key under the steering wheel attached, i removed it an d now it wont start could that be anything to do with it.

try putting the key back near the ign.switch and try starting with your original key,may be an immobiliser problem
