iveco35c12 gearbox?

trying to remove gearbox from iveco 35c12 hpi 2.3 diesel.have all nuts and bolts removed gearbox is about 3inchs apart from engine it is not getting caught anywhere but just wont move that little bit to drop it any ideas thank you

may be clutch arm/release bearing still engaged with pressure plate [on some vehicles you need to release clip on clutch cover to dis-engage arm].
