How can I fix my Sony Bravia LCD Projection Television?? Model: KDF-50E2010?

I Recently bought the above mentioned T.v and after arrival from the previous owner I turned it on and noticed a pink band accross the top of the screen, about 1.5 inch from the top, right accross the width of the screen. I looked on the internet and seen an answer for another question about convergence and it told you how to get into the LCD Driver menu etc and I followed these steps and changed the VCAM LEV RG R (0,63) from 39 to 0 and this helped take away the pink band, which only showed mostly against a white background, so the back ground was much whiter after doing this, i also changed the OFFT A B (0,255) from 190 to 222 and this coupled up with the previous change took the pink band away completly and i was happy with the picture, in particular the white. I then came out of the menu and put it on standby as the insruction said to do, and tried to switch it back on but it goes to a standby type state and has lights flashing at the front, what have I done and how do I overcome this and enjoy the settings I had the picture at as I eradicated the pink band?? Welcome any answers before I phone the Sony technical support number I was given from a man in a Sony Shop as this will end up costing me £££'s. Thanks in advance for any answers.
