clicking when turning steering wheel on vauxhall zafira?

hi
i have a v reg zafira which has started making clicking noises when i turn the steering wheel either way. almost sounds like something catching. have checked power steering fluid and it doesn't seem to be that. someone suggested it may be the universal joint on the steering column (i think). does anyone know how i find this please?
thanks
michelle

hi
have done that thanks and doesn't look like there is a problem there. noise is coming from that area though or just above. any other suggestions greatly appreciated

have a look at the floor where the column goes through, usually in that area, make sure pinch bolts are tight

ok thanks will do! do you know if the universal joint is at the bottom

check your universal joint but also have a look at top bearing on column
