my oil temp is overheating audi a4 ?

i have an audi a4 96 1.8. my engine was over heating so i filled with coolant/water and all was well but now the oil temp goes through the roof. its fine when just started in the morning but after 5/10 miles it steadily rises to maximum if i dont stop. both water and oil tanks are pouring out steam. then after i stop for 10 minutes i get about 2 miles before i need to stop again. does anyone know what could be causing this.. any help please

Have you carried out an oil change with a new filter. Perhaps you are short of oil or overdue for renewal?

I don't understand what you mean by oil tank?
