my hand brake on vw polo is loose how do i tighten it?

the handbrake has got looser everyday for a week i can pull it up without no effort, how do i tighten it ?

you will have to start at the drums and remove and check the shoes are ok and adjusted correctly,then move onto your h/brake cables,check for seizure,fraying,if ok then adjust the cables
