what does the spanner on the dashboard mean when i start the car up?

when the spanner light iluminates and stays on the dashboard just indicates that the vehicle is due a service .... the dealer or garage will reset the light once a service has been carried out...
hope this puts your mind at ease its just the ecu programme will trigger this light to come on at certain mileage intervals
