Tapping noise on cold start?

On starting, my daewoo nubira 1.6 engine is ommitting a tapping noise which goes away after about 3 mins, i have been told is not tappetts.

as their are no tappet's on these engine's it could be a faulty hydraulic cam follower hence silencing when engine running
