how do I replace the fan switch on my peugeot 406 v6?

My Peugeot 406 3.0 V6 is overheating because the electric fan is not being activated. How do I replace the controlling switch?

my friend has just had the same problem on his diesel 405 turns out its not the relays (switch) all three fans two on the radiator and the air con fan had burnt out phoned peugeot and they said its a common problem. you should look right at the back and bottom of the engine bay there is a black plastic box with three 40 amp fuses in if these are blown you could be in trouble (he only found these because he dropped a screwdriver, and hes a car mechanic ,he said they are not on any of the wiring diagrams!!!) if this is the problem all you can do is replace the fans my friend has tried 12 breakers yards so far with no luck all have said as soon as these fans come in they are sold. sorry i couldn't be more help
