I installed a D-Link Wireless USB adapter on my computer. You'll probably want to buy a N adapter, it will say N on the box.
It plugs into your USB. I think you install the software first, it comes with a disc. Then plug in the adapter, follow the instructions that come with it.
the software will install and then instruct you to push the reset button on your router so it can automatically connect. Just quickly press the reset button down on your router when it tells you to.
