cam belt belingo?

hi my 51 plate belingo cam belt has snapped so the aa have said has this engine got protection on it to stop the engine getting damaged cheers simon

is it the 2.0 hdi engine? usual the rockers just break and theres no valve damage. the rockers can be changed without removing the head ,remove the rocker cover you will probly find about 4 or 5 broken. remove the cam carrier and cam to change them

I've just gone through the complete list of all the engine sizes & types fitted to the Berlingo and all are "interferance fit engines" which means in the event of the cambelt snapping valve to piston damage is most likely, so I don't know what the AA man was talking about!!!
