How can I change Humax 9200T channel numbers after retuning?

I have had to retune my PVR 9200T because of the digital switchover.  I did this using the automatic retune facility and it located a weak transmitter for the BBC TV stations.  These were given  channel numbers 1 for BBC1, 2 for BBC2, etc.

I identified a different, stronger transmitter and manual retuned to that one.  The PVR then allocated the channel numbers 800 for BBC1, 801 for BBC2, etc. The original channel numbers are still there.

How can I change these 800 numbers to 1, 2, etc, to replace the weak stations?

You will need to repeat your manual retune but before you retune you must deleted all current TV AND radio channels. The reason this needs to be done is that on the Humax manual tuning does not take the old ones away.

You can delete the channels by a Default Settings and cancelling the Autotune as soon as it starts. If any channels are found during the automatic search do not save the results.
The Default Setting option is located within the Installation menu (default password is '0000')

If you are not on the EPG cashing version of the software yet (dated 30 NOV 2009) then this extra action needs to be done with the aerial disconnected. To be on the cautious side be sure to totally power OFF the Humax when connecting/disconnecting the aerial.

Default Setting will not delete any of your recordings but you will need to set up your schedule and favourite lists again as well as your setting preferences.

You have an aerial problem which you need to fix first. Having done that, the channels will reorder themselves.
