hi i have a fiat ducato 57 plate with very stiff gear selection. i have popped the cables off at the gearbox and found they move freely. the bracket pivot part for the side to side movement on the gearbox feels solid when you try to move it by hand. has anyone come across a similar fault or know any common faults that would give me my next move. thankyou.
just did a bit of stripping and found the pivot for the gear cables on the engine mount has siezed so i think this could be causing the problems.

gears are still stiff with engine off,feels like the selector turret is jammed to me but i want to make sure im heading in the right direction before i strip it down. reason being i am not familiar with the fiat set up. thanks

if gears select ok with engine off,then it will be your clutch that is not clearing.
