I'm having the same problem, i'm going to remove the hinges and the pin holding them together, then replace the crumbling old washer block with lots of normal steel washers, no idea if it will work. But all 4 of mine have gone and they are £30 each for a second hand one, no saying how much time until they crumble too also they would be a different colour to my van, or new they are £100 each :/ I'll let you know how i get off
