i have a 5 year old indesit w143s washing machine and when i put it on a programme it fills and starts the wash and then the dial just keeps clicking round, does any know if it is a problem i can fix by opening it up, please help. Can't afford a new one or a repair at the moment

possibly can help. try taking top off and find small pressure switch at the side take small pipe off and blow down the pipe then put back together . also common fault is something stuck in the pump at the bottom front take pipes off and clear inside , hopefully that will do the trick ,it has worked for me before.
