How can I turn on the wireless connection which turned off after a reboot on my compaq presario lap top

I suspect that you don't mean reboot because that is that the laptop does every time that you turn it on.

If you mean that you have reinstalled Windows then you will need to go to Compaq (HP)'s web site and download and install the drivers that are unique to your model of laptop.
