Kenmore 116-32612200 Vacuum?

hi folks

need to, I believe, change the belt on this v.c. Any ideas on how to do this and where to purchase the belt? I haven't a clue. Thanks!

Make sure you take off the 2 top screws and light cover first. It is easiest to pry if you hold the swivel part down with one hand as you pull up ward on one side of the powermate cover. If you need a belt, email me at arctic@worldlynx.net

You should be able to find a replacement belt at Sears, there should be a belt number on the bottom of your powermate unit.
My problem is getting the vacuum open, can't get it to pry....
