Central locking on 2001 Transit not working?

I have a Ford Transit, 2001, and the central locking is not working. You can hear it lock but it immediately unlocks using both key and fob.

not 100 percent sure but i have been told it could be a broken black wire in the back doors where wires go through plastic housing . Iam having a similar problem with mine.
You could try the transit owners forum for more answers.
